How do you rotate?

“let’s twist again, like we did last summer..” as the weather begins to change and we slowly start making the movement towards fall, I can’t help myself, I just wanna twist! And not just some boring seated twist, but the slow and hard to work on revolution of revolved triangle (parivrtta trikonasana if you like the sanskrit).. this pose is not for those looking for an easy twist (as you will see in my video, it’s a work in progress for me!), revolved trikonasana requires a slow twist, a squaring of the hips and grounding in the legs. Humbled, you shall be if you try to hard to wrench yourself into the twist or try to just “hop” into with out a warmed up body.

As always, YOUR breathe is your indicator, if you CAN’T BREATHE you are pushing too far. Start slow. Be calm. And revolve!
